§ 117.10. GRANDFATHER CLAUSE.

  • Any person, firm or corporation holding a certificate of convenience and necessity under this chapter for the operation of taxicabs who hold a certificate as of the effective date of this chapter as amended by the Common Council shall for all intents and purposes be granted a certificate of convenience and necessity for any taxicab company in operation on that date in compliance with all the provision of this chapter as same read following the passage of this chapter. An existing taxicab company shall come into compliance with the new terms and provisions applying pursuant to this chapter within a period of 120 days after the passage of this act, or, upon action of the Board of Public Works and Safety the certificate of convenience and necessity may be revoked.
